Hi from Kentucky; My name is David and let me tell you about myself. I'm 51 disabled for about the last 7 yeary.I have been collecting for about 30 or 35 years. Mostly U.S.,but have some from other countries. I don't know much about them but I'm sure you all will take care of that. I like coins that have been around and used and have some history behind them. New to computers so watch out you may see odd words sometimes. Looking forward to talking with all of you but will mostly listen to start with.

???  I just noticed that I am listed as a knave. Well now I know people like to look down on folks and such, but in the Webster's New World dictionary I see (knave=a dishonest, deceitful person; rogue. Now I don't clame to know every thing but I surelly do know what a rogue is. :o I would hope that no one is saying that I'm dishonest or a rogue. :) :) Being from the hills I'm used to people not really meaning what they say to I will just laugh it off.

Well Websters was not around during the medieval period so Knave is not so bad! It is good to see another mid-westerner in our castle! Great group of collectors here David and you will soon find out no one here is thought of as a rogue!!! You are now in some very unique company who practice Coin Chivalry so prepare yourself for a treat! Welcome from one of your Hoosier neighbors!

Dear David:

You are welcome to this Group of Coin Collectors.   You will find all of them friendly and willing to exchange their experience with you.

Certainly, you can also increase your collection.    I live in India and heard that Kentucky is a Mountain State.  The State Qtr., of Kentucky is nice.

According to Mr.David Q. Bowers of your Great Country, "The Wonderful People We Come Accross This Hobby, Makes This Hobby Wonderful"    You will find it very true.

Kind regards

Hi & welcome to the Castle.  Depending on how active you are with postings, you might not be a Knave for too long.  Get to 50 & you're an apprentice, 100 & you're a Squire & so it goes on.......Have fun.  ;D

Welcome to our castle.

Don't be bothered by the term "knave."  We just use it to describe someone who is new to our group.

The people who make up this forum are some of the best and brightest in the numismatic world.  Also, friendly and helpful.

Again, welcome!!

:) :) :) :)

G'day and welcome from 'down under'.
Don't be too worried about your title. In medieval times it was used to refer to the lowest ranking servant:).

We seem to have a lot in common.
Disability pension.
New to computers.
I've got a bit of age on you.( 15years).   ;) ;)
Apart from that, lifes a bit dull ;D

If you need any help or advice on Aussie coins, I'll try and find someone to help you.
regards,

Welcome to our group of similarly afflicted collectors, where instead of trying to take care of our addiction, we only feed it and make it worse! ;D
