They sure look nice.

I got mine as well. I'm trying but I'm just not a fan of the modern laser frosted finish on any of the modern proof coins.
Greetings and Salutations!

Now graded

Congrats on the PF69 grade.

I have to admit though that I am not a fan of these plastic coffins for coins and banknotes. And yes, I do understand that graded coins and banknotes sell much better and for better (=higher) prices than ungraded coins/banknotes, especially in the USA.

I agree, I bought the 2023 and 2024 coins not long after they came out and before the US mint got super greedy under Trump apprachniks were appointed to it.

None of my coins are graded, but they are all in their original cases and capsules.

I bought proof and mint of both types and I admit I love the proof Morgans the most, artifical or not they gleam and having them in bullion grade silver is no fault either. You can drown in their lustre and now seem like a steal at NZ$170 per coin.

Nice coins, but yep, out of my price range.

Took me some digging through eBag but I turned up mine.
The pictures are only eBag sale pictures. Maybe I'll make an effort and find the actual coins and take some photos.

2021 $1 CC MORGAN SILVER DOLLAR NGC MS70 FIRST RELEASES CARSON CITY
US $269.91
2021 $1 S SAN FRANCISCO MORGAN SILVER DOLLAR NGC MS70 FIRST RELEASES
US $211.26
Had to pay extra to get the certificates.
No idea what they are worth now.
If I get around to it, I'll copy the eBag pictures and post here. Those prices included postage from the States. Given the top grade I wasn't complaining.

There we go. Again, not my pictures. Cost a heap but I don't have many 70 graded coins.

Very nice. I imagine 70 is common among these newer coins.

I would hope so. Most new coins should be having the benefit of superior minting technology.
If a proof coin grades worse than a 69 now it should be scrapped and remelted.

Paint Your Wagon

i LIKE those proof coins very much
an american friend of mine was a coindealer he says he re-submitted many coins and often got a better grade on the 2nd or 3rd try
Personally I cannot see a visual difference between ms66 and up to ms70
Where I am going I ain't certain
Where I am going I don't know

They are beautiful, the 2021s are the most collectible with the mintmarks and lowest mintages. I jumped on the bandwagon late with 23s and 24s. But in 25 under Trumpite managers wanting Money, prices hot up to like US $200 or so per coin and sales salumped.

The US Mint brags on about how big a hit the 2026 coins - they would have been a hit because of the 250 celebrations, but the Trump gang have milked it for all its worth - like half ounce gold coins cost $5k and the rest. The World Cup soccer coins were a floparoo as well.

As for melting MS68 coins, I agree with poster below, I can't tell differences between 65 and 70, but if a coin has a milkspot, cloudy, damaged or poorly struck, it should be remelted. Mine are all fine and I suspect they would be at least MS68 and possibly 70. I only opened one with gloves, I find many spots if any on the capsules not coin.

My favourite Morgans are of course the dearest ones. Carson City. Epic tales of the old west.

Tossing a silver dollar in the air and shooting it. (Oh the humanity).
