New aquisitions today (one for Scottishmoney.)

As you may know, I collect stamps too. So I spend a lot of time in the Stamp Community forum.
Today I received two envelopes from members of that forum, containg these items....

2001 Guatemala 50 Centavos (1/2 Quetzal I believe)


Korean One Thousand Won.



Japanese One Yen.



Japanese 50 (haven't worked this out yet, but I assume 50 Sen)



This one's for Scottishmoney, a lovely on a Banknote. I suppose you have this one in your collection.
It will take pride of place in my Note collection.

Germany One Thousand Marks, 1910



Any help with info on the banknotes would be appreciated.

I have to buy that one, there are several other Teutonic babes I have to pick up for my harem too, the one I am really looking for is the 1996 100 DM with Clara Schumann on it.

Here's some info relating to the 1000- Mark note, which incidentally was a lot of money in 1910 before postwar hyperinflation got underway.

It seems 1000 Marks was about a years wages back then.

Just found out that both the figures on the reverse are female, I was wondering about one of them.
Don't think the one I cropped off would classify as a lovely on a banknote anyway.

Those notes continued to be printed into the inflation era ca. 1922-1923 when they represented about a few seconds labour.  By that time they were suited more to burning for heat than using for purchasing anything.

Yes, I don't have good forebodings either.  I see the financial system awash with excessive liquidity in an attempt to shore up poorly securitized markets. Not just the US either--UK, Europe, Asia. What little I think I understand has me worried.

I have got to quit looking at Scottishmoney's harem. Everytime I do I find myself headed to Ebay and I really don't collect currency. All those precious ladies keep calling to me. It's almost as bad as a buffalo!!!
