It is an honor to be a part of this group. Many of us have roots from other, now defunct, forums. We chose to stay together and roam the internet in search of a home. Along the way many more of you joined us in that search. After a journey of years, for some of us, we found this place and started building. It took many members to get us here and here we shall stay. My thanks to all of you for your dreams and the roots you have put in this ground. This is OUR home and our door will always be lowered for the weary traveler looking for a place to talk coins, share his/her collection and dreams. Ah, TKO and Twoshadows.....worth their weight in gold! I joined this forum and one of the first foreign coin pictures I saw was a (1) Rupee from India. I believe Kitty posted it. I knew nothing about foreign coins except Canada (40+ yrs) and due to this great Castle and its Knights and Knightesses, I now have an accumulation of around 50 foreign countries' coins.....from Austria to Uganda. Approximately 98% are large silver coins with a few interesting copper/nickel/bronze coins thrown it. I thank all who answered my foreign coin questions, this community's gift exchange program, and to each and every member. I believe this coming year will be very exciting for all.

I've sure been out of it!  Happy much belated birthday KOTCT!

I haven't been doing much collecting lately.  I did, finally, get through bags and bags of my U.S. Cents this week.  My tubes of 100 years of Lincoln are almost filled now.  As for the rest of my collection, I'm a bit behind except with my ASE's.

I'm sorry that I haven't been on the forum for quite some time.  I do miss you guys and gals!  I've just been busy getting back into my old life in Colorado again.  Being gone for those 3 years in AZ seems like a lifetime ago though.  My Dad is still with us here but, failing a bit this time around.

I'm hoping that you all are doing well and keeping yourselves busy too!  I'll try to make a habit of atleast clicking on the KOTCT more often.  I even signed on to the ole coincommunity tonight.  WOW - so many names that I didn't recognize but, when I signed on here it felt like family that I hadn't seen for a while and dearly missed.

Take good care and I'm still out here keeping a watchful eye!  Maybe I just had a need for some Ole Dad humor again!!!!

Longnine is still visiting, here was here not long ago.
I'm sure TKO is in the background somewhere looking after us, thanks TKO.
Twoshadows has found a new love, cycling, but he still pops in here now and then.
He had a big crash on his bike recently and is now recovering.
I haven't seen or heard from Snooba and son in a long time.

I think we need a membership drive though, it would be a shame for us to just fade away.

Well actually, our 1st Birthday was celebrated on 3rd October 2008.

OK  we seem to be confused about the start date (and Anniversary date) of the KOTCT.

We have TKO's date of 10th.....Nevol says 3rd ...... there was a message in our calendar saying 1st.

I think 3rd is correct, as this is the date that TKO has as his joining date
and that would be when the site was created. I think we changed it to
10th to make it the same in English and American dating systems.
i.e it will be 10/10/2007 whichever system you use.

Have checked joining date for most of original members and yes TKO is down for 3rd (obviously setting up website) but most other original  members (including myself) joined on 4th.

There was a group of us originals in KOTCT when we were on the CCF website but not sure when that started.

So our 10th Anniversary will be 3-4th October but lets celebrate all month.

You need to change it in the calendar again then.
